Dr. Hailey Dunlow joined Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers in 2024 to pursue her post-doctoral training in ocular disease management as a resident optometrist. Originally from Edenton, North Carolina, she received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry.
Dr. Dunlow’s clinical rotations included specialty clinics including ocular disease, pediatrics, low vision rehabilitation, binocular vision, and specialty contact lenses. She particularly enjoyed her time at the Birmingham Veteran’s Affairs Medical Center. At the VA she was exposed to a wide variety of anterior and posterior segment disorders leading to her interest in residency at Bennett and Bloom.
Dr. Dunlow is a member of Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Society and the American Optometric Society. During her time in optometry school, she was a part of the American Academy of Optometry and became a student fellow. She was also involved in the Fellowship of Christian Optometrists, Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society, Equal Access Birmingham, and the Private Practice Club.
