Dr. Sergei V. Dmitruk is an anterior segment specialist and comprehensive ophthalmologist with a focus on cataract surgery. He is also proficient in performing minimally invasive glaucoma surgery (MIGS), as well as refractive surgery with Advanced Technology lenses.
He completed his undergraduate education in Integrative Physiology with a certificate in Neuroscience at the University of Colorado, Boulder, and completed his medical education at the University Of Colorado School Of Medicine in 2017. Dr. Dmitruk interned at the Riverside Regional Medical Center then successfully completed a surgically rigorous Ophthalmology Residency Program at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia, where he received comprehensive surgical training.
Dr. Dmitruk has a research interest in cataract surgery and eye trauma. He regularly presents at Ophthalmic Grand Rounds, Journal Club Conferences, Clinical Pathology Conferences, and Surgical Case Conferences. While in training, he worked on several quality improvement projects involving the use of Omidria in patients prone to Intraoperative Floppy Iris Syndrome, as well as the development of a comprehensive ophthalmic laser curriculum for junior residents. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology.
