In 2011 Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers was recognized by The Courier-Journal as one of the Top Workplaces (among companies with 150 employees or less) in Kentucky.
The Top Workplaces distinction is earned through employee survey results distributed by a survey service enlisted by The Courier-Journal asking employees to rate their companies and their bosses by responding to a series of statements. The anonymous surveys were conducted partly to encourage employees to be candid when responding to statements such as “I have confidence in the leader of the organization,” “My manager listens to me,” and “My pay is fair for the work that I do.” To further ensure the integrity of survey responses, employee participation was voluntary.
“We have a terrific staff that makes this a wonderful place to work. We constantly get compliments from our patients about how great they are. We try to treat them well and do things to keep them happy, too. This survey seems to verify our success,” said Dr. Inder Singal.
Fully 70 percent of Bennett & Bloom Eye Center employees chose to participate. Employees listed a number of reasons why they loved their workplace including, “great place to work,” “the doctors really care about the staff,” “the employees are treated very well,” and “I actually enjoy coming to work.”
