Bennett & Bloom Eye Centers is excited about this state-of-the-art procedure that utilizes a microendoscopic laser to treat open-angle glaucoma. The laser targets the ciliary body (the part of the eye that produces fluid), resulting in lower eye pressure. This can be done at the time of or any time after cataract surgery. The goal of this treatment is to reduce or eliminate the dependence of glaucoma eye drops. After this procedure, 95% of patients achieved lower eye pressure on fewer or the same number of pressure lowering drops. ECP is safe, painless, and is performed in our surgery center.
